Prank Aftermath

Perceptor's expression as he watched the remaining mechs and femmes in the hallway disperse was troubled and confused. Glancing at Optimus, the scientist decided it would be best to make his confusion known, in the hopes that clarification would be forthcoming, and promptly.

"Optimus... I... I'm not quite sure I understand..."

She shifts her attention from the others to him, her hand once more gently squeezing his shoulder. "I think you need a little R&R. Especially after this. I want to bring you to a place that's good for that."

"...Some place within the premisis?" Perceptor still seems a bit lost, though he doesn't seem to mind the hand on his shoulder.

"It's actually in the Time stream. I've taken Movor there a couple times, and plan on bringing any of the others that need it, too," she says gently, her optics scanning him with concern.

"...I...I see..." Perceptor considered what he was being told, before nodding, "I must admit, I am rather curious now that the subject has come up..."

((I'll be back on later... once i grab some fundage from the bank and can get an "all-day" pass!))

Optimus sends a com to Movor to let him know that she'll be gone from the mansion and about how long, then turns back to Perceptor as she reaches over her shoulder for her swords. "You might be more curious when we're done, but at least you'll feel better."

Perceptor blinked, before nodding yet again, "Such is the risk one takes when one sets out to learn about something unfamiliar..."

"Always. Don't be frightened." She steps back and makes an x shaped cut in the air with the swords, and then watches as the green-edged portal opens before joining the swords and shifting them both to her right hand so that she can reach for Perceptor with the left. "Are you ready?"

Perceptor's optics widen considerably, and it's clear he's curious about this ability of Optimus', though he's also curious about where she intends to bring him as well. Granted, he's also a bit nervous, though his actions show his trust in Optimus as he moves to reach for her hand. "I believe so, Optimus."

"Okay. Brace yourself, this is going to feel strange." She pulls him close and puts her arm around his waist, and then jumps through the portal. There's a wrenching feeling-a quick feeling of disorientation- and then they're floating on nothing and surrounded by the visible and invisible splendor of the Time Stream.

The feeling of disorientation is enough to get Perceptor to cling to Optimus for a moment, before his attention begins to wander to what his optics and other senses are telling him. "By the Matrix..."

"And you're probably picking up less than half of what's going on." Optimus turns her head, her own senses reaching out as her optics narrow slightly. "It's quiet. We'd better get to the river before the storm breaks."

Even as she says the words she's shooting forward, looping up, down, over, and around things, some of which Perceptor won't be able to detect. Her grip on the red mech is strong and her progress is steady.

Perceptor blinks, suddenly feeling not quite at ease, "St-storm?"

"Don't worry about it." Her voice is calm and confident, and then she nods. "The foo fighters have found something to play with."

A little distance to one side a unrecognizable semi humanoid form is busy chasing after three gleefully zipping balls of white lightening.

Here, Optimus, have a puzzled Perceptor.

"Foo fighters? From what I understand of human culture, aren't they a musical group?"

"The band was named after the lights," says Optimus as they leave the group behind. "The term was first used by human pilots during the second world war for the glowing balls of light they sometimes saw when they were out flying."

"Most curious... I was not aware that the band had taken their name from the paranormal phenomenon..." Perceptor glanced around, curiosity getting the better of him yet again.

"Well, they might have just liked the name." Optimus smiles as she sees the river in the distance, but doesn't increase her speed or lower her vigilance.

"True... That is a valid hypothesis... I do hate to sound as though I am rushing you, Optimus, but are we nearing our destination?" Perceptor asks quietly, sounding a bit uncertain now.

"Do you see that purple line trailing off into the ether?" She nods ahead.

Yes, Perceptor, that looks like an upside lake and river.

Perceptor looks ahead, optics widening, and then he's tilting his head in confusion as he studies the lake and river, "...Is that..."

She passes through a temporal disturbance and is suddenly hovering amidst the upside down islands in front of the waterfall, her circuits sighing at the peace emanating from the water. "It is."

After a brief moment of startlement, Perceptor is again taking in his surroundings, curiosity mixed with a bit of tranquility due to how peaceful everything seems to be.

Spray drifts down at them from the upward surge of the water as Optimus settles them both on the bottom of an island.

"Can you feel it?" she asks quietly.

Perceptor blinks a bit, before giving Optimus a politely puzzled look"The tranquility of this specific location?"

She nods. "It's not just the location. I couldn't tell Movor, but this is a place where it's very easy to come in contact with Primus."

"...Primus? As in the being rumored to be the creator of all Transformers?" Perceptor is curious, and finally starting to calm down from his earlier fright.

"Well, he didn't create all Transformers. But he created the Autobots and Decepticons back before the split." Optimus leans over, looking down into infinity toward the invisible beginning of the river.

Perceptor blinks, before taking in his surroundings a bit more and quietly musing to himself about who else could have created other races of Transformers. He's calm, and curious, as well as a bit drowsy. Seems someone's lack of recharge is starting to catch up to him.

((I had a good post written, then LJ ate it... *sigh*))

Optimus' hand goes to his shoulder again, strong and supportive. "Are you coming in?"

Perceptor blinks a bit, before nodding, "Though... I must admit... I'm not sure how exactly..."

The Prima laughs at that, her amusement free and non-mocking. "Like this!"

A graceful swan dive from the island, and then she's being tossed upward in the current of the falls.

Perceptor lets out a startled noise, before hesitantly moving to jump from the island. It's clear he's not the most graceful of Transformers, but at least he doesn't wind up going in upside down.

Peace rises up to meet him as he drops; welcome, and comfort, and approval. And then the current takes him and he's being swirled upward as the peace and welcome grow stronger.
