Memento. ((Tag, Starscream))

Optimus steps through the portal and looks around the front hall of the mansion, then drops her gaze down to the multicolored cloth wadded up in her hand as the portal closes behind her. Everything seems to be fairly calm and quiet.

She sends out a com message first to her partner, and then another to the resident Seeker. //Starscream, I have your cloth down in the foyer.//

After the meeting was over, Starscream had retreated to his private quarters and left the door ajar, not caring if anyone saw him as he stood by the window, spending hours just looking out at the mansion grounds, arms folded across his chest.

The fact he was dead took a little getting used too, but he had a chance to start over. He was free of Megatron, to start a new life so why did that Autobot have to show up?

Distracted by his thoughts as the transmission came over his comm-link, he nodded and sent a quick reply as he moved to leave the room //"Be right down"\\

//Alright.// She walks over and examines one of the lion-footed chairs that stand under the shadow of the right hand staircase, then settles down to sit in it as she waits.

Closing the door after him, the seeker headed down the corridor to the main stairs and was down them in a moment or two, moving to join Optimus.

The tall femme looks up with a slight smile, then holds out the hand containing the cloth.

Reaching for it, he paused, withdrawing his hand ever so slightly, then steeled himself and took it, holding it out in both hands to examine it as he whispered "Thank you"

"You're welcome," she says softly, her deep voice rich with understanding.

Starscream glanced up at her when she spoke with a simple nod and slowly draped the patchwork cloth over one shoulder.

"I'll leave you now. If you need anything please don't hesitate to com me."

"Alright" he nodded.

She gives him an encouraging look, and then heads for the hallway.

Starscream watched her go, then headed back upstairs to hang the cloth on his bedroom wall.
