Day three. Meet and Greet!

Vector Prime tries to scowl and defend his side from Optimus' fingers as he sends out the com message on all frequencies.

//All hands report to the mess hall in (ten minutes) to meet your teammates. Thank you.//

Then he groans and grabs his younger sister's wrist. "Optimus...."

"Hey, you said you needed some help waking up." She grins at him.

"Waking up can be accomplished with proper usage of energy. My being tormented is unnecessary."

"Maybe." She chuckles as he lets go of her, then turns to the door to greet the first arrivals.

Optimus notices his look and offers him an encouraging nod. "Starscream?"

Owutnow, Starscream? Lumen turns his head to look over at the mech with mild interest, thinking that he looks a lot different from the one he's heard stories of from his own reality.

"What?" he mutters, taking a long sip from his beaker of energon before noticing Lumen looking at him "May I help you?"

"Aren't you going to introduce yourself?" she asks encouragingly.

Lumen gives an easy-going shrug of the shoulder that bears his own purple badge. "Just curious. You don't hit me as the same kind of guy as the one we had back where I come from."

"I'll think about it" he glanced over at Optimus before half-turning his attention to Lumen "And what was this guy like?"

"Bat#$#!@ with an ego the size of New Iacon," says Lumen frankly, then blinks and looks guilty as Kimchee repeats the word he used.

WakeJumper snerks a bit, "Same deal with the one where I came from...He was also Sunstreaker's and Sideswipe's favorite target."

"And that's never good, vanity normally mean power-hungry among my people" Starscream muttered before finishing his drink and eying Kimchee as she picked up on the curse-word "Well, that should prove annoying to someone if she choses to use that constantly"

Lumen glances at WakeJumper, acknowledging his contribution to the conversation, then nods at Starscream. "Yeah, well, seeing as he's mostly remembered for trying to take over."

"Different reality," says Optimus quietly, reminding the blue mech that not all alternates are built the same.

He nods, then looks at Kimchee, who is now studiously ignoring everyone as she examines one wing.

Starscream fell silent at Lumen's words, swilling the dregs of his drink around the bottom of the beaker as he found himself remembering Thrust's manipulations and his face twisted into a snarl at the though of the other Decepticon.

Optimus watches the Seeker for a few moments, but decides to let him be. He'll talk if and when he's ready.

"I suppose if you know I'm from a different reality, you know my full story" Starscream commented quietly, glancing up at Optimus.

"Not all of it," says the tall femme, her golden optics full of compassion. "We tend to only sense the major events that affect time."

"What counts as major events from my life then" he replied.

"I've seen the day you came online. And... the day you went offline," she says gently. "And also the day three kids gave you a gift."

"Yes...." Starscream muttered and lowered his gaze, still slightly regretting throwing the patchwork cloth like it meant nothing.

She tilts her head and listens to something for a moment, her optics focused on something far away or inside her processor. Then she nods. "Yes, I can."

"Alright" he replied quietly, then shifted with a thoughtful frown "Can you do that for other robots too?"

"Right now you're the only one I have clearance for," says Optimus. "There are a lot of factors involved in things like this, and some of them can strongly affect a time line."
