Day three. Meet and Greet!

Vector Prime tries to scowl and defend his side from Optimus' fingers as he sends out the com message on all frequencies.

//All hands report to the mess hall in (ten minutes) to meet your teammates. Thank you.//

Then he groans and grabs his younger sister's wrist. "Optimus...."

"Hey, you said you needed some help waking up." She grins at him.

"Waking up can be accomplished with proper usage of energy. My being tormented is unnecessary."

"Maybe." She chuckles as he lets go of her, then turns to the door to greet the first arrivals.

"..." Desinex glances over to where WakeJumper is scolding Fallstreak, a pained expression crossing her face momentarily.

"Hey." Lumen frowns with concern. "What's that for?"

"The greenhorn...I knew he had a femme in his life..." Desinex's expression is filled with regret. "D...does he know about you?"

"Oh yeah." Lumen gives a soft chuckle. "I spent the night whipping his aft at pool and trying to show him how it's really done."

"..." Whatever Desinex was expecting, clearly it wasn't that. "Oh..." The former Decepticon tried to figure out what to say next, but couldn't think of anything else to ask, except... "Wait....is the Greenhorn here the same one from your reality?"

"No." Lumen shakes his head. "Showtime died in his reality."

"...Oh...slag..." Desinex is starting to shake now. Lumen's words confirmed what she feared regarding WakeJumper.

"Hey... Desi?" He steps closer, a hand going out in offer of comfort as his optics darken with concern.

Desinex flinches a bit at the old nickname, turning her head away from Lumen. "Don't...S...she was the only one allowed to call me that...I..."

"Don't give me that slag," he says gently but firmly. "You may not be my Aunt Desi, but you look and sound too much like her for me to just stand here and watch you suffer. Hound would come back from the Well and kick my ancient aft for it. And so would Aunt Show and the Twins."

Desinex flinches, optics towards the floor, "I don't deserve...I'm...I'm the reason our Showtime is dead..."

"And let me guess. That's the reason you're dead?" Lumen puts a hand on her shoulder.

Desinex flinches a bit, fighting the urge to smack Lumen's hand away. "..." after a few moments, the former Decepticon nods, "I ended it..."

He shakes his head. "Showtime's probably cussing her head off right now."

"Not likely. She's probably laughing her aft off at me even as we speak." Desinex scowls, trying to hide the pain she still feels.

"I doubt it. Laughing at people was your job," he counters.

"...You're trying to pull my servo...if laughing at people was 'my' job, then what was Showtime's?"

"Helping Streaker and Swiper prank the higher ups." His mouth twitches slightly at the memory.

"...I don't believe you...I've seen Showtime fritz when she's been close enough to touch Sunstreaker..." Desinex's body language contradicts her dismissive tone.

"She touched him all the time. They were bonded." He looks at how she's standing. "The Desi I knew was always giving her a hard time when we woke up on a mission out in the feild and couldn't find Show till she shoved a twin out of the way."

"..." Desinex frowns, thinking about how she took that opportunity away from not only the Showtime of her reality, but also Sunstreaker and Sideswipe. It's a sobering thought, and the former Decepticon moves to leave the room.

"The only time I ever saw Show try to kick Desi's aft was the time she though Hound wasn't going to make it and nearly gave up," adds Lumen softly. "If you give up now you can be sure that your Show will come back somehow and kick your skid so hard you'll never forget it."

That stops Desinex in her tracks, earning Lumen a low, dangerous-sounding, albeit familiar, growl.

"You know I'm right," he says, totally unfazed by the growl.

"...frag you." Desinex's lips curl into a sneer, trying to hide the fact that she does indeed know Lumen is right, but doesn't want to admit to it.
