To the Private Quarters

"I see. Well, many of the rooms contain only a single berth." Vector Prime lets the smaller mech inside and then closes the door behind them as he nods toward the grand double staircase. "It seems that the rest of us are situated in the South wing."

"That's good" Starscream replied, eying the Transformer-sized house as he entered and wondered about the story behind its creation "Who made this place? You?"

"No. It seems to be a human construct that was either sucked into the Time Stream at some point, or formed here randomly." The older mech leads the way upstairs.

"I see" Starscream replied, continuing to look around as he followed Vector Prime upstairs.

It's just a hallway, with doors to either side. One is open as they pass it, and the room inside is blazingly pink and furry.

Starscream paused to glance into the room, then winced at the interior "Who does that room belong to?"

"No one," says Vector, sounding relieved. "Would you be so kind as to get the door?"

"Gladly" Starscream muttered, walking over and giving the door a firm slam shut.

"Thank you." Vector Prime goes on a little further, and then opens a second door, which holds a neatly arranged room with an army blanket on the single bed and a sword hanging on the wall over the head of it. There are a few things to suggest that the room belonged to a young female human once (like the plush chibi Starscream doll sitting on the desk by the computer), but they're not very noticeable.

"Now this is more like it" Starscream slipped by Vector Prime, smirking as he glanced at the sword, then moved to pick up the plushie and scowled as if not impressed before throwing it in a corner of the room.

"I will leave you now," says Vector Prime. "If you find yourself in need of refreshment there are signs pointing toward the mess downstairs."

The elderly mech doesn't know it, but there's also a huge bottle of high grade in Screamer's closet. It's marked 'Jack Daniels'.

"Alright" Starscream nodded, his attention more on the sword than the closet for a moment or two as he moved to get the sword off the wall and tugged at the handle to see if he could draw it.

It slips from the sheath easily, the soft watered pattern of the steel shining softly in the light from the fixture on the ceiling. A beautiful katana, made with some skill. It's not ornate, but it is more than adequate for its job.

"Not bad" Starscream nodded, then took a couple of careful swings, the actions causing him to notice the contents of the closet. Sheathing the sword and placing it on the bed, he picked the bottle up and examined it.

The label informs him proudly that it's 'finest sipping whiskey', but if he should happen to take the lid off he'll find that the glowing amber liquid it contains is no organic drink.

Starscream glanced at the familiar-looking liquid before he took the top off and sniffed it, a slight smirk tugging at one corner of his mouth, then he took a small sip.

It stings slightly on the way down, and the very taste has a bit of a kick, but it's fine tasting energon all the same.

Nodding, Starscream put the top back on and placed it back in the closet for now before he glanced around to make sure that no-one else was in the room before he moved to pick up the plushie and place it on the bed.

No, there's nobody there but the little minime, who lists to one side slightly as its set down, but doesn't lose its cheery smile.

That done, Starscream put the sword back on the wall, then left his new room. One had to familiarise themselves with their comrades, if there were any after all.
